Surface Computer

Surface Computer is a specialized computer which communicates with user through touch-sensitive screen and surface of ordinary objects.

• It has  Graphical User Interface and Natural User Interface.

GUI(Graphical User Interface) which is same as in  Windows or menus on  your computer and presents information on your screen and prompts you to use attached input device.

NUI(Natural User Interface) which lets you to interact with direct touch of the user or object's rather than with a separate input devices connected to the computer.

• It is a multi-touch sensitive screen

One or more people can touch or work at the same time on the screen.

• USB Ports are not required to transfer files

i.e If you want to transfer the photos from your camera to computer, then you directly place the camera on the tabletop of  the computer, where your photos are then transferred.

• Keyboard, Mouse are not required to communicate with the computer

 Since it has a touch sensitive computer, we can use attached input devices like touch panel to insert any text.

• It is sensitive to the surface of ordinary objects.

 i.e If you want to search facts about "Apple", then in surface   computer you need not type it. Instead,you just need to place a "Apple", on the surface of the computer. It will give you all facts of it.

We can have surface computer as Surface table or Surface Wall Computer.

Surface Table would be as shown in the image below, where it places all the hardware components below the surface(tabletop).
